Herbata i truskawki - Tea and strawberries
[PL] Przepadliśmy w górach. Komu by się chciało wyjeżdżać, kiedy po trzech miesiącach ciągłego ociekania potem w końcu można odetchnąć od upałów? Kiedy można spać do późna i co rano gdy się budzimy i wychodzimy z namiotu pachnie lasem.
[EN] We stuck in these hills. Who would like to go, when after 3 months of sweating all the time finally we can stay in acceptable temperatues? When we can sleep as long as we want and everyday in the morning when we are leaving our tent we can smell just forest.
[PL] Cameron Highlands leży wyżej, jest chłodniej, więc jest idealnym miejscem do uprawy. I lokalni ludzie to wykorzystują. Zbocza są pełne różnorodnych upraw, wariacji warzywnych i owocowych. Wszystko to można kupić na popularnym nocnym weekendowym bazarze w Brinchang. Na nocnym bazarze tłok jest szalony, bo można kupić wszystko, kupiliśmy nawet tempeh! My mamy to szczęście, że nasze pole namiotowe leży pomiędzy dwoma najbardziej popularnymi tutaj miastami – Tanah Rata i Brinchang. Tanah Rata przypomina polską górską miejscowość, nic powalającego ale jest spokojne i wpadamy tu na hinduskie jedzenie albo do którejś z kawiarni pokorzystać z internetu. W Brinchang uroku za grosz, same wielkie budynki, ale jest właśnie chińska wegetariańska restauracja, no i nocny market.
[EN] Cameron Highlands is higher, it’s cooler, so it’s perfect place in Malaysia for plantations. And local people are getting advantage of it. Hills sides are full of different plantations, variety of vegetables and fruits. All of that you can buy on popular weekend night market in Brinchang. It’s very crowdy there, because you can buy there everything! We even bought a tempeh! We are lucky, because our camp-site is located just between two most popular cities in here – Tanah Rata and Brinchang. Tanah Rata looks like some Polish city in hills, nothing really special but it’s calm and we are coming there for Indian food or to some cafe to use wifi. Brinchang has nothing nice, just huge buildings, but there is this Chinese vegetarian restaurant, and the night market.

[PL] Czy my już pisaliśmy, że uwielbiamy hinduskie jedzenie? Tego tutaj nie brak. Dosa, thali, idli? Na wyciągnięcie ręki.
[EN] Did we write already, that we love indian food? It’s plenty of it here. Dosa, thali, idli? Just after every corner.
[PL] Ale nie tylko. Jak już pisaliśmy, Malezja to niemała mikstura. Jest też jedzenie malajskie i zatrzęsienie knajpek chińskich. Jest też chińska wegetariańska.
[EN] But not only. As we write already, Malaysia is a big mixture. So there is also Malaysian food available, and plenty of Chinese restaurants. There is also Chinese vegetarian one.

[PL] Najbardziej jednak popularne wydają się być tutaj dwie rzeczy – herbata i truskawki. Wzgórza po horyzont pokryte są plantacjami herbaty – soczysta zieleń przykuwa wzrok i nie łatwo jest go oderwać, bo widok jest czarujący. I są wszędzie. Tak jak truskawki, które hoduje się tutaj w doniczkach. Na szczęście na bazarze w Brinchang można je kupić o wiele, wiele taniej niż bezpośrednio w plantacjach położonych wzdłuż drogi, bo nie mogliśmy się oprzeć.
[EN] But the most popular here seems to be two things – tea and strawberries. As far as you can see hills are covered by tea plantations – juicy green colour is just amazing and all you want to do is just look on it, the view is really charming. And it’s everywhere around. As everywhere as strawberries, which are growing here in flowerpots. Luckily on night market in Brinchang price is much lower than directly in plantations spreaded along the road, we couldn’t resist.
